Tammy is one of our Dentistry specialty technicians. She is so warm and informative to clients and new staff members as well to other clinics. When she is not here at our clinic busting her butt, She is offering services to other clinics or Techs to teach them further, She is a mentor to new techs that are wanting to pursue dentistry as a specialty She travels out of province to teach as well. Besides being an amazing team member, she is also a mom to her daughter Lillan and a wife to her husband Don, Tammy is a wonderful friend, coworker and person.

Elaine is such a hero. I honestly believe there's nothing she can't do. Her dedication, compassion, initiative, knowledge and leadership inspire me. It doesn't matter what in the clinic you need help with, Elaine will jump in to help with a smile. She's so incredibly versatile. She goes to the ends of the earth for her team and I appreciate her so much.

Rayne is exceptional. She has never-ending patience to answer questions and explain things to clients as well as co-workers. She is kind to all. She never hesitates to jump in and help where needed. She is a team player and a leader. Rayne is invaluable.

Nancy is an amazing RVT. She is currently our only tech working open to close hours because our other support staff had to go off work. Nancy is one of the most dedicated techs I have ever worked with. I've 'caught' her giving every feline that comes into the hospital extra love! She also lends a hand at penhorn animal hospital from time to time when they are short staffed!

Sara has been a dedicated vet tech for 20+ years and she has shown nothing but compassion for her patients. She has been a mentor to many who have come through the clinic and wants to help those be successful in any position they're in.

Maddy is the overnight tech at VSCAN and is so dedicated to her position in the clinic! When we have patients stay overnight after surgery, Maddy is the first one to see them recover and tends to them all night long. Without her, the clinic would be lost! We appreciate Maddy so much every day (and night)!

Twila is a superstar. She is kind to all, whether coworkers, patients or clients. She has endless patience for questions and never makes you feel bad for asking. She is always looking for new ways to learn or to help out her team. She is amazing!

Hali is our Lead Technician and an asset to our furry patients. She provides excellent patient care and is always willing to help out the rest of the team. If anyone can do ten things at once, its Hali!

Paolo is our lead and only RVT at this clinic. He is the most well rounded, amazing, helpful person at this clinic. Being the only technician, he has taken on so many responsibilities here and remains so optimistic. From helping with surgeries, appointments, follow ups, training ACAs, building the schedule, making medications and being in charge of inventory he truly deserves to be recognized. Our clinic would not be as successful as we are without him. It is safe to say, every person (doctors and supporting staff) rely on Paolo and we can not thank him enough.

Jodi always ensures the highest quality of care for our patients. She makes sure all of our patients are comfortable and fear free as much as possible. When interacting with the clients, she is able to explain procedures in ways they understand. I feel she is the best teacher and takes time to explain why we do things to help everyone remember. I learn from her everyday and feel she should be recognized for the amazing job she does every day! Thank you Jodi!

Danielle is simply phenomenal. She has been a pillar in our hospital for many years. She is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and anesthesia. Danielle will jump in to help in any aspect of the hospital, from staying late to save a pet's life, to helping the front office, to taking out the trash. She is an anesthesia whiz and all around superwoman. We are lucky to have her on our team for so long and appreciate her for all she is and does.

Elizabeth has been such an asset to the Vscan. She has such a positive energy that it's almost contagious being around her. She loves her job so much that it's infectious! haha

Amy has been with BCVC for a couple of years. She is an extremely dedicated and passionate person. Amy is very reliable and always offers help above and beyond expectations. Her compassion for patients and empathy for our clients is unsurpassed. Her sense of humor keeps everyone smiling.

Mary is the glue that holds this old heritage building together. She is our Mobilized Technician taking a lot of the burden off our veterinarians allowing them to focus on our elder and sick patients. Mary always has time for a quick pick me up, or a belly rub for our furry friends who she is adored by. She takes on the role of a leader, mentor, friend, and confidant. Mary deserves to be recognized not just this week but every day for her level of care that she provides to her patients and clients always trying to stay on top of the newest technology and services to ensure our hospital can provide the best care for our life's greatest companions.

Kristi is a vet tech who has a strong passion for her career and is always wanting to do the best for her patients. She loves her patients and is 100% committed to them. She has a passion for nutrition management in companion animals and has developed a successful program within our practice to help dedicated owners create a personalized plan on how to reach and maintain a healthy weight in their pets. She has increased the bond between those pet parents and their pets as well as strengthened their bond to our practice. She is a kind person and is incredibly supportive of her peers. She has a wonderful personality to work with and she is a key member of our RVT team.

Arianna is one of our newer technicians, and has been expanding her knowledge by currently attending a veterinary technician program. She has shown amazing growth over the last year, and dedication to her team. She not only provides excellent care to patients, but has shown such compassion and amazing communication skills to pet parents. We are so lucky to have her, and looking forward to the bright future ahead of her.

Kim has been one of our technicians for many years, while currently leading as one of our supervisors. Kim has always been one of the most reliable, understanding, and knowledgeable teammate we have had the pleasure to work with. She not only helps the animals at BCVC, but has dedicated her time to help the animals at the Bergen County Zoo as well. Her dedication and passion for animals has been a tremendous asset to our team, we are so lucky to have her.

Morgan is one of our new technicians who is always willing to learn. She is constantly applying herself which has excelled her patient care. She brings an amazing attitude to work, you can always catch a smile on her face no matter how stressful the task is. We are so proud to witness her knowledge and confidence grow while working with us, she is an exceptional technician.

Dre is an amazing tech at BCVC. She is dedicated to her team, always lending a helping hand, and always teaching new things with no complaint. She is so easy to get along with, making work fun. She provides outstanding vet care, we are lucky to have her.

Jordan has been a lifesaver. Though only in the industry for 4 years she has a wealth of knowledge. She is calm, caring and loves to teach both clients and her coworkers. When our lead RVT had to leave suddenly for medical reasons, she stepped right up to fill her very big shoes. She has taken on being team lead and inventory and has been doing a stellar job. She is hard-working and always has a smile on her face. She is so dependable. She started with us during COVID adn has grown so much in her skills and confidence. I can trust her with anything. She doesn't get flustered even when things get crazy. She is my ROCK!

Tim's dedication to both the field of veterinary medicine as well as the well-being of those in this field is nothing short of admirable. He spends tireless hours educating new comers to the field, as well managing multiple hospitals. He has taken an interest in Compassion Fatigue in the field and is always trying to reach those in need.

Brandy has been in this field for 22 years. She shows pride in her work and has an amazing work ethic. She is one of the most dedicated, skilled RVTs I've had the pleasure of working with. Jessica is an all-star RVT! She is passionate about patient care and will work tirelessly until the job is done. I recently had to euthanize one of my dogs and she was with me every step of the way. I appreciate her compassion in that moment not only for my pup, but also for me. I appreciate her kindness and will forever be grateful.

Tiffany joined our shelter in August and has already made an impact on the animals living here, our team, and the community. She has not only helped care for the animals on site but has also transported adoptables to PetValu in Chester for showing until they find their fur-ever home. She was also the driving force in implementing the Trupanion Pet Insurance Program into our adoption regiment. We are so thankful she has joined our team and would like to recognize her!

What can I say about Lauren..she is one of the best. She is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met and she chooses to dedicate her life to helping animals. She is so kind and generous. I feel honored to have ever met her let alone have the opportunity to work with her.

Marena is an outstanding manager, tech and leader. Her passion for mental wellness in the work place has created an amazing work culture. WE LOVE HER!

Britt is an all-star! She is an incredibly competent tech and she is always up for a challenge. She is rocking our social media and community outreach work. I have enjoyed watching her grow and hope that I can continue to do so because she is awesome!

Kiterie is a wonderful technician that I look up to and learn so much from. The knowledge and passion she has for fear-free techniques really benefit everyone in our hospital. The pet parents, patients, and coworkers greatly appreciate her hard work and dedication!

I’d like to recognize Lindsey Bergier, RVT as an outstanding technician. Not only is she an exceptional leader in our hospital as illustrated by her mentoring our amazing tech team, she is also a leader in the field of veterinary dentistry. Through years of experience and training (both hands-on and through coursework), she has mastered all aspects of dentistry, including taking digital dental X-rays, performing dental extractions, and working with our DVM staff to aid in the diagnosis of complex dental and oral disease processes. She has been a true asset to our hospital, our patients, and our profession. She also effectively, efficiently, and compassionately communicates with our clients regarding all of the patient's dental care. Our clients often compliment her on her talents and we are truly fortunate to have Lindsey as a longtime team member. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! You are an inspiration!

Audrey is a dedicated technician who takes pride in patient care and always ensures her patients are comfortable! She also rocks in surgery!

Callie is an absolute star! She's one of the hardest workers we have and rises to every challenge she is presented with. I always appreciate our conversations and have really seen her grow from a new grad to an experienced Tech. I am so looking forward to watching her become a senior tech and finding her niche.

Suzanne has really excelled in a new role this year and is doing some really exciting work as an RVT. I believe she has added so much client satisfaction to our clinic and the reviews that we receive about her reflect that. She is so knowledgeable and resourceful, and I believe that every clinic would be extremely fortunate to have a Suzanne there. But, they can't have ours. I like her too much!

Jayden is growing up right before my very eyes, quickly becoming one of our senior techs. She is capable of handling most cases that she is charged with. I find myself impressed by her every day. She is pushing through her comfort zone barriers as we look to expand our tech roles in the clinic. Her development has been so exciting to watch. I look forward to seeing her reach new heights here!

Tracey is a superhero! Not only is she the mom of two amazing boys, she is one of our best senior techs. I love her sense of humor and her tech wisdom that she shares with everyone! I look forward to working with her every day!

Kristin is a dedicated and talented RVT who always puts her patient first. She has been a member of our team for nearly 15 years and has knowledge that is second to none. She never loses her passion for helping animals. She is opening to trying new things when it comes to helping her patients. Being part of a mixed animal practice that has grown with the community, Kristin has helped develop the next generation of RVT's and continues to keep our practice thriving.

Lori is a brilliant RVT. She prides herself on continuing to learn and research any and everything to help in her care of animals. There are so many stories of her unwavering compassion and dedication to all of the shelter animals. She assists the vets with between 30 and 50 animals a day for S/N surgeries without sacrificing individual care for all animals. She answers the call for any animal emergencies night and day 365 days a year. She will return back to the shelter to ensure any animal on medications receives their doses at the appropriate times and intervals. She will go to animal hoarding or dog fighting scenes and get in there to capture and load animals all while examining them for any medical issues. She writes and ensures all medical protocols for the shelter are up to date. Her above-and-beyond moments come so frequently--she is simply amazing. The shelter animals are so lucky to have her and so am I. They say no one is irreplaceable but that is simply not true. Lori Ancelet is truly irreplaceable. She also fosters or adopts some of the medically challenged cats and kittens and provides a loving home with exceptional care for as long as they require. She will take newborn kittens and bottle feed and foster them. She makes her schedule for vacations around major shelter events. The list goes on and on with her selfless acts. She is truly one of a kind, particularly in the shelter world. We love her and so do the animals.

Noemi's passion for helping pets and their people shines through every moment of her day and in every action she takes.  She smiles through the toughest of situations, keeps the positive energy flowing for our team no matter what we are facing, and looks for ways to let her light shine for every person or pet that crosses her path. Since she is our first Spanish-speaking team member, she has made it her mission to elevate the level of care and personalization we are able to provide to our Spanish-speaking clients and patients. She has called in on more than one occasion on her day off just to be able to translate for us and also translated all of our core documents and instructions so that we can provide that same standard of care when she isn't with us. The most memorable moment of her being a five-star human for me was when she took a call from a non-client who was in hysterics as her pet was experiencing a medical emergency beyond our scope of practice. She stayed on the phone with that pet parent to ensure they arrived safely at the emergency clinic, kept her calm and safe as she navigated the traffic to get there, and helped her calm down enough to be able to effectively communicate with the emergency team when she arrived. She is full of compassion and also volunteers with one of our local pet rescues during her downtime, loves to help us with our community outreach, and is always amazing us with her representation of not only herself and our hospital, but for our profession as a whole. We are so privileged to have Noemi on our team! 

Laura is a motivated, hard-working individual who has a true passion for her work. Her love for animals is outweighed only by her ability as a technician.

Nicole has served as the Technician Manager/Supervisor at VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialist for an extensive period of time. Her tenure in this role reflects her exceptional leadership and commitment to fostering a positive environment within the technician team. Nicole exemplifies true dedication to both the well-being of our patients and the satisfaction of our clients. Nicole's approach to her work is a shining example of genuine care. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that our hospital maintains seamless coverage, preventing any disruptions in patient care. Her unwavering dedication to this cause is truly commendable. Not only is Nicole a highly skilled technician, but she also excels as a manager. Her ability to lead and inspire her team is unparalleled, making her an invaluable asset to any group fortunate enough to have her. We are exceptionally fortunate to have Nicole as part of our team, and her contributions continue to elevate the standard of care we provide.

Amber is one of the hardest-working technicians I know. Every day she is right there willing to help whether it is with appointments, surgeries or up front. Her knowledge and skills show day in and day out. She is truly one of the go-to technicians at our clinic. She truly loves what she does and it shows every day in her work. Her work ethic is unparalleled, she is calm under pressure and a pro at what she does. Even our clients love and appreciate her as much as we do! Our clinic is really lucky to have such a hardworking technician.

Fifth Avenue Vet Clinic doesn't have overnight care. A couple came in with a very sick cat that needed overnight care, but because of their newborn baby and a couple other concerns they couldn't transport the cat to the emergency clinic. Heather grabbed her air mattress and slept at the clinic to be with the patient. She has always gone above and beyond but to give up a night of sleep to help a client and their newborn is truly above and beyond.

I have worked with Sarah for many years and she is truly an asset to our Hospital. She fills any and all positions when needed while at the same time helping with management. From Doctor & staff scheduling to working rooms, helping in surgery, or being a CSR. She is the strength and support that keeps the hospital running smoothly. She is an amazing coworker and I feel she deserves to be recognized as a Vet Tech and more.

Gina is an incredible tech! She is so loving and gentle with patients, and her calm but self-assured demeanor helps put clients at ease. Gina's attention to detail is so valuable, and she is always willing to jump in and help, which is always appreciated!

Alisa is always here to help with a positive attitude and a big smile. She is a huge Mental Health advocate, which helps our clinic thrive so much with positivity. We are so lucky to have her here with us and all her endless knowledge in this industry! With her past experience in Emergency, she is always training the staff and building confidence. She shines so bright!

Danielle is our nursing/hospital manager here at LVCC and often times I don't know how she does it. She is in school for her RVT, a new mom, and manages all of us! She goes above and beyond for her team, patients & clients ensuring they all receive the best care & are taken care of. Oh, and she also takes time to volunteer in our community! If she's not making our team schedule for 40+ nurses, making new protocols to perform team member evaluations, you can find her loving on our hospitalized patients and taking care of her people! She deserves to be recognized for everything that she does!

Everyday Vero amazes me. With her kindness, compassion, and talent, Vero is not only an extraordinary technician but an amazing person altogether. She shows strong leadership and is always there for her team when they need her the most. There is never a task too big (or small) that she isn't willing to take on and for that I admire her endlessly. Our patients thrive because of the care that she provides and our clients can always rest assured that their little ones are in the best loving hands. Not only is she the manager at Lakeside Niagara Veterinary Clinic, but also an amazing tech who is always available to jump in and help. She’s just an amazing human being with so much love and compassion.

She is a rockstar and gets stuff done! She also doesn't hate me after work hours and will play DnD with me.

Chantelle is our calm cool fearless leader who is a master of multitasking. Double timing as a manager and tech is not an easy job but Chantelle does it with style, pizzazz and a smile on her face. We don't know what we would do without her!

Aleesha is such an asset to the clinic! Not only is she an incredibly skilled technician but also a kindhearted, caring individual who always brings the best energy to the hospital. She's the one you want to be involved in any type of emergency situation!! Aleesha is the best support to staff and is always ready to use her gift of gab to diffuse a situation when things escalate with a client. We love Aleesha!!!

Jane is the person you can call no matter when and no matter what time and she is there. She has helped multiple staff members when their pets were sick after hours, she dropped everything when our office manager needed to euthanize her dog after hours. Jane called every in-home euthanasia in the area and even personally met her at the hospital to help. Jane was there when our doctor had to put his dog down as well. She met him at the hospital early on a Saturday morning. She is there, no questions asked. For everyone.

Gabby is the powerhouse of our clinic. She is the ultimate pet advocate always using her Fear Free practices. We love you Gabby and are so happy to watch you grow into the best tech ever!

Kelly is the most incredible human inside and out. She sacrifices so much for her patients and we are so lucky to have her as a voice for our furry family members. Thanks for all you do Kelly!

I would like to recognize an amazing RVT named Carmen Chan. She has done an amazing job leading a surgical team and challenging herself to further her education by going for her VTS in dentistry. She has rescued multiple pets and saved them from being euthanized. She is the most patient and kind individual I have met and it's been an absolute joy watching her evolve. Her selflessness does not go unnoticed.

Amelia is the most talented, caring and passionate individual I have ever met. She uses a fear-free technique that she is very proud of and has made our clinic a wonderful and inviting place to be. She was heavily pregnant a few weeks ago and still doing all of the tech things that she usually does. She is just a powerhouse and deserves to be recognized.

Shaine is the ultimate team plyer - always willing to offer a helping hand, or help with difficult cases. Shaine does an amazing job at imparting knowledge to others in a respectful manner - to both new hires, new RVTs, and seasoned RVTs. Shaine is friendly and caring, she is an amazing RVT who goes the extra mile for every case, every patient, every owner.

Bonnie has been a technician here at our hospital since we opened, 27 years ago. She is as hard-working and dedicated as they come. Bonnie can often be seen helping out our VAs and reception girls when they need an extra hand. Bonnie's years of experience and dedication are what make her such a valued part of our team. She is greatly loved by us all!

Sydney is an amazing member of our team. She is always going above and beyond to help out whether she's helping clean kennels or assisting in an emergency. She always brings humour and positivity to every shift. When Sydney isn't working, she's helping in the community by volunteering at the local hospital with her therapy dog named Walt. Sydney is a bright light in the Vet Med world and we're lucky to have her.

Jes joined us in May of 2023 as our practice manager and RVT. She has been a great asset to the team since she joined. Her compassion for the well-being of the patients as well as her connection to the clients is phenomenal. She also brings tons of dermatology knowledge and is always willing to help out around the clinic.

Burke not only shows commitment and care to animal care but to her teammates as well! Working alongside her is such a pleasure.

Vari is every pet's number one advocate. Pet parents can rest assured they are in good hands with Vari. Not only is she incredibly smart and a strong technician, but she will also care for your pet as if they were her own! Vari loves all creatures big and small, and truly has their best interest at heart.

Dorrie is new to our team and she is amazing! She fits right in and is an AMAZING technician. Immediately the Doctors enjoy working with her. She is very smart and diligent and puts her technical skills to great use. We are so happy to have Dorrie as part of our team!

Madison is hard-working and dedicated to all pets. She cares immensely about all animals. She dedicates all her time to seeing and helping each pet she encounters. She works the emergency on-call most of the time and is readily available for any call. She works full-time and is finishing her studies to be a registered technician. I have seen her completely exhausted and still push through to care for every animal. She is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to learning more and more. Her hard work in every aspect is very much appreciated and she deserves more recognition for the dedication and knowledge that she has. She goes above and beyond for every patient that comes through our doors. We all love her and admire her ability to be so dedicated.

Katie deserves to be recognized for her infectious, positive personality, and dedication to her patients and clients. Katie always has a smile on her face, and is a source of joy in our practice. She works hard and cares for every pet as if they were her own. Katie has amazing client communication skills and is wonderful at putting clients at ease.

Amanda joined our team earlier this year as an RVT. The amount of knowledge and compassion she offers our patients and their owners is admirable. Her many years of experience and her warm heart help to make Applecross a better place. We appreciate you, Amanda!

Kim is an amazing RVT who takes care of operations for 6 hospitals in Atlantic Canada - she works tirelessly to ensure the team members are taken care of so they can care for their patients and clients - she is selfless and works so hard- she never accepts recognition for her hard work and support- she has been my tech student, head technician- my hospital manager- my business partner and now director of operations for over 125 team members and 6 hospitals- she helped lead the teams through COVID and now in times of crisis and shortages - she is always positive and always finds a way to advocate for team/quality of care and customer service - I would not be where I am today without her- I have been a practicing veterinarian for over 26 years and I am very grateful to have been able to work alongside Kim for 23 of those years - she is so deserving of special recognition

Victoria is one of a kind! She is the backbone of our clinic and we couldn't imagine not having her as part of our team. She is a constant source of support and joy.

Andi is such a talented RVT. She is kind and caring towards all patients and can help with other tasks when needed! Andi is very intelligent and explains everything in detail to clients when they have questions. We became really close friends and she's helped me learn so much during my 4 years here at Masonville. Andi has a good sense of humor and can handle a challenge when faced with one. Andi is outgoing, friendly, and such an amazing friend. I love her for who she is and wouldn't trade her for anything! She deserves recognition for working so hard and being such a fantastic employee.

Savannah (Sav or Sasa to her friends) goes above and beyond every day to support her team in her Lead Tech position. Hard Rock, and our community as a whole, are so, so lucky to have her.

Jen is an amazing, skilled technician. She also has such a warm personality and welcomes new members to the team with open arms. She is willing to help anyone in the hospital and is a great teacher!

Cindy has been a dedicated certified vet tech for over 20 years. She has actively been a part of the Alabama Vet Tech Association for 12 years, working her way up to now being the President. She also serves on the board of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation. She is now an HM at VCA Becker Animal Hospital. The reason I would like to nominate her is because of all the hard work she does each and every day not only at her clinic, but at her sister clinics and our local community college, Jefferson State. Last year I took over as HM at a failing clinic. I was literally the only employee working every position except as a doctor for about 6 months. Cindy came every week for over a year to not only work as my only vet tech, but to also help me train new employees once hired, help relief doctors find their way through our system, and help train me as I took on my new role as HM, all while still being active at her own clinic, AVTA, and her family. I have learned so much from her about so much in the veterinary world. Her experience can not be matched.

Krystal is a new tech and she goes above and beyond with patients and her coworkers. She is a great communicator and makes sure that the receptionists are prepared to check out, schedule follow-ups, and do anything else the clients and pets need before they leave their appointment.

Kim has become our lead tech over the last 12 years in our practice. She has grown from a part-time assistant in high school, completed her B.S, and may be a contender for vet school someday! She continues to expand her knowledge, ask for additional responsibility in the clinic, and possesses clear communication skills with clients and staff alike. Her best quality, though, is her love of her chosen career and the way it shows in the compassionate care she provides our patients. She is one of a kind!

Sara is a hard worker and is always looking out for the pets in the hospital. She puts her heart in everything she does.

Wilson is the most hardworking, dedicated tech's I have ever worked with. He truly loves what he does and all the clients and patients can really feel that! He loves to learn and get better each day. He has a dog named Jax, and he also loves reptiles and all other types of exotics. He is one of the top assistants right now, working full time and going to school full time to get licensed. I can guarantee he is going to be one of the best techs around!

Crystal Carter is our only LVT, she shows up every single day with a smile and a quiet eagerness to get surgery started. We have surgeries 4 days a week and she is the lead on every surgery case. She treats her patients with respect and kindness, she teaches the team how to remain calm when something isn't going exactly as planned ( ie. IV cath placement on an overly excited surgery pet) One of the best things about Crystal is she is always consistent, her work ethic, her compassion to the pets, her team spirit and ability to keep moving forward. She portrays a resolute calmness in her cases, she works collaboratively with the doctors, and she helps train new team members in the St, Francis way. Crystal is an asset to our team and community for her effort, commitment, and dedication to our clients and patients.

Lindsey is a wonderful addition to our team. She strives to provide the best care for all pets she has come in contact with. KaSandra is a dedicated, hard-working, Tech Assistant. She is in school to be a full Vet Tech. She loves animals so much. She is amazing at her job. She gets along with everyone and every patient. She puts her heart and soul into every pet she treats. It's hard to give just one example or experience involving KaSandra because she is not only great with animals, she is amazing with people too. She takes her time with pet parents just like she does with the pets. Not only that but she is an integral part of our team. She is outgoing and funny. She is caring and understanding. She has so many good qualities, it's difficult to keep in short. Our hospital and our team would be lost without KaSandra. I work with a lot of team members and they are all great. KaSandra stands out. Not just to me. All of us are so proud of her and thankful that she is here as part of our team. On the day this picture was taken, the patient was injured. He was nervous when he came into the ER/ECC. KaSandra was the triage tech that day. Within minutes, she had him smiling and hugging her. He stayed by her side the entire visit. When he comes back in for checkups, he gets all excited when he sees KaSandra. I have seen her become close with pet parents and grieve with them when they had to say goodbye. I know we are supposed to be stoic but I think this makes her a better Tech and empathetic to our pet parents. She even follows up with them days later to make sure they are okay. She is AMAZING!!!

Andrea goes above and beyond for her pets and her team. She has developed so many techs through encouraging them to never give up. We recently had a pet named Dexter, an amazing Pit Bull who loved everyone he met. He had cancer and needed surgery on his Abdomen. He would visit us on a regular basis as it was an extensive surgery and our team would have to find creative ways to keep the wound sutured. Andrea fell in love with Dexter, along with our entire team. It was with a heavy heart that Dexter passed away last Monday. Our entire team was devastated but took comfort in knowing how much he impacted not only Andrea but our entire family. She gives her heart to all her pets. She does not believe in shortcuts of any kind. We are all so happy to have Andrea on our team.

I would like to take the time to recognize Jessika. She joined the veterinary field back in 2017. Here at SJB Animal Care Center, she is dedicated to helping each furry friend who walks through our door. She treats every pet like family.

Fatima is one of our vet assistants who is also wanting to go to veterinary school so she can be the Doctor taking care of patients. She is also the only Spanish translator at our clinic, which means she is in high demand, but she always maintains a positive attitude no matter how needed she is. She is one of the most caring and heartwarming assistants I've ever known. She loves and treats every animal she sees as if it were her own and is extremely compassionate to their owners. She is an absolute asset to our team and we would not be the same clinic without her.

Our amazing vet tech Becky is always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Becky started radiation and chemo, yet never missed a day of work. She is an amazing vet tech and a thoughtful co-worker, always remembering everyone's birthday, and giving the best care to our animals. I nominate her for this because she deserves it. She is strong and a wonderful example of a good friend, an awesome co-worker, and a fabulous vet tech!!

Carrie works her tail off to support her colleagues and provides excellent veterinary care to every cat who comes to the Cat Adoption Team (CAT). As the only certified veterinary technician on our hospital staff, Carrie graciously shares her knowledge to help train and teach fellow medical staff, volunteers, and other shelter staff. She offers thoughtful, loving care to cats and kittens; provides tremendous support for CAT's high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinic; and serves as a lead mentor to support foster volunteers. CAT is proud to have Carrie on our team!

Bre is passionate, hardworking, and deserving of recognition but will never ask for it. She is willing to work in any department and will always go above and beyond to make sure everyone has the help they need!

Mia is a highly skilled veterinary technician team lead. She is patient, detail-oriented, and very caring, qualities which extend into her love of training new staff to ensure their success in Veterinary Medicine. Clients really appreciate the compassion and empathy she brings to the exam rooms. She advocates fiercely for her patients and finds joy in learning new things and sharing her knowledge with others. She is also looked to by staff for her sense of humor in brightening challenging days.

Stacey is a staple in our hospital, whether she's doing her CVT duties, mid-day trash sweep, being the queen of the lab station, or working through laundry... She keeps the day positive with her comedic relief and mom-like hand. We love our CVT Stacey, that is why we are recognizing her for Vet Tech Appreciation (and also for the other 51 weeks of the year)! GO 0303!

Nicole always goes above and beyond to help the team & pets. She is caring, reliable, and just a terrific nurse and person. She is very hardworking and someone we can always count on. She deserves to be recognized for everything she does. We don't know what we would do without her!

As the Admissions and Community Support Coordinator for the Cat Adoption Team (CAT), Meg uses her medical knowledge and skills every day. She offers generous, compassionate support that helps cats get the care they need and stay with their families, and she also provides kind, helpful support to people and partner organizations who are rehoming cats through CAT's adoption program. And as a certified veterinary technician, Meg can even assist with medical needs through our hospital if needed! CAT is proud to have Meg on our team!

Beth is the most calming presence. She walks in, assesses the situation, and does what is needed without complaint. She is always looking for ways to make the pet and pet parent comfortable and happy.

Since day one of meeting Jerri, she has always been on team patient! I have been through thick and thin with her building trust with a fearful dog, crying over lost beloved pets, and celebrating victories! Jerri truly is involved every step of the way and reaches out just to say she is thinking of you and your furry friend. I don't know where my kiddos and I would be without her staying overnight with them, doing happy visits, and just giving advice at all hours of the day!

I have worked with Wendi for a few years and she is such a strong leader to everyone.

Lehana has grown into a true leader in this field. She embraces all those who want to further their skills and knowledge in the field and offers her time and skills to other hospitals to help their staff grow and become valuable members of the veterinary community. She works tirelessly to ensure all of her patients are cared for with the highest standard of medicine and love.

Robin has been a vet tech for decades and we were blessed when she agreed to work for our small clinic on her day off. But above that, whenever we assist someone in our community, whether it be for a broken bone, obstruction, or stone removal, Robin never hesitates to come and volunteer her time. And this is always after she's worked a full shift doing veterinary dental work. Robin also takes home all of our dogs that need wound care and specialized care during healing. Another example of her amazing and compassionate ways was at one of our events. An owner pushed his dog a bit too hard during a 5k. Thankfully Robin was in attendance and literally stopped everything to race to the pet in distress. She saved his life that day I am certain of it. While I could go on and on, I believe you have a big picture of what a wonderful tech she is. Thank you for doing this and thank you to Robin, always.

Jessie joined our team 3 years ago and has stepped into the head tech role these past two years. Aside from managing the tech schedule and listening to her fellow team members, she is known for her passionate care. She is the first to give hospitalized cases extra bedding and offer a soothing, compassionate voice to timid pets.

Jess was so kind and caring for my baby cat! It was her first time at the vet and Jess was so patient with her and treated her just like her own cat! I love Jess!

Nicole is one of our greatest assets. She helps the doctors maneuver through cases with ease and is always diligently taking histories and providing excellent client education. Her dedication and reliability make her invaluable. Whenever a positive review is received it is always about her compassion and patience. She deserves to be honored and recognized!

Rachel is the best vet tech there is! She goes above and beyond for the animals! She takes care of her autistic son and disabled mother all by herself and still manages to work full time to take care of the animals that she so greatly loves! She loves ours and everyone else’s pets as if they were her own! She has the biggest, purest heart and deserves so much!

Fawn received the Yellow Rose of Texas Award this year for her compassion during euthanasia. She even helped them find a new pet. Fawn is always very compassionate with the clients and pets, and she is a wonderful role model for the vet techs. She loves teaching them and helping them with anything they need.

We have a few amazing techs in our practice and are very lucky to have them, Gabby does stand out as she is willing to do anything and everything for anyone. She goes above and beyond for the care of her patients. With her own health issues, she still would check in to see how she could help even when we knew she could not. We loveeee her!

Jessica is an amazing tech! She is extremely talented, her patience with animals is boundless, and her communication with the team and clients alike is always spot-on! She is a plentiful source of happiness and support, and often times the CSRs experience ridiculous FOMO from all the laughter we can hear coming from treatment.

Vel is a marvelous tech! She is the quiet and steadfast voice of reason amongst the bunch. She is wonderful with clients, and her calm demeanor helps relax them in situations that can feel overwhelming or uncertain.

Ricky is an extraordinary tech! His passion is obvious in every interaction. He is comforting and gentle with the timid pets, and he is excited and silly with the playful pets! Ricky is always the first person ready to jump in and help when a situation calls for it. His strength and determination help support the team in an intrinsic way.

Sara is a wonderful tech! Her attention to detail is so important as she spearheads pharmacy and all the intricacies involved. Her demeanor with clients is endlessly patient, but firm and informative. She somehow manages to take all the chaos out of the equation, and she still has a smile on her face at the end of the day!

Mia is an incredible tech. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and humorous. She strives to give her patients the absolute best care possible, and her love for the job is apparent in all things. She supports the team in more ways than one should, and I hope she knows how deeply appreciated she is for it!

Dixie is a truly amazing technician and an inspiration to everyone around her. Dixie started in our kennel as a kennel assistant. She completed her degree in Veterinary Technology and is now one of our ER Technicians. Dixie will work any shift and is always willing to go above and beyond to help her team. She is wonderful with owners and gentle and kind with pets.

Kayla is the lead technician at Seiler Animal Hospital and has been caring for patients there for thirteen years. Recognizing Charity was an easy decision. Every day she shows up to work (on the night shift) ready to give every patient, coworker & student 110%. There isn't a time when she's not wearing a smile with a genuine laugh and giving words of encouragement. Although she is primarily working in Large Animal Medicine, she is always there to get blood or place catheters on the tiny patients when you need her most. She is a friend to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on and the hardest worker I have ever met & every day I strive to succeed in this profession led by her example. I know that any animal in her care, whether it be horses, cows, dogs or cats are treated just like her own, and let me tell you, that is just like royalty! I am proud to call her my coworker and friend!

Jessica is the Animal Care Coordinator at the Nova Scotia SPCA in Truro, she has been part of the incredible team since 2017. Since then they have made leaps and bounds in animal welfare. She graduated in 2009, starting out in a mixed large and small animal clinic, then moving to a more specialized small animal clinic where they did everything from acupuncture and orthopedics to general medicine. This background helped her grow and become an excellent leader.

Heidi is a dedicated advocate for animal welfare. She devotes her expertise to providing exceptional care to the animals at the hospital, ensuring their well-being and recovery. Heidi's compassionate approach and skills in veterinary care make a significant difference in the lives of the furry patients she treats. Jenny has been an inspiration for me since day one. She is the go-to person for so many people at our clinic. Jenny has an abundance of knowledge that she shares in the most thoughtful and kind way. I’ve always enjoyed learning from her!

Shanna is such a driving force for our clinic. She is awesome with patients and clients as one of our main surgery techs. She has been at our clinic for 28 years! We love her.

Alex is newly graduated and registered, but works as if he's been in the field for decades. He confidently goes head-first into any situation and is constantly supportive of his entire team. I've not met a tech who is more patient, calm, and comforting with anxious pets. He's always excited to learn new things within the field and he's extremely encouraging to others when they need help of their own. No matter where he is, he loves what he does.

Keshia has just finished her distance technician program and preparing to write her RVT exam. When I think about the future of Veterinary Technology she is going to help take this profession to the next level. She is dedicated to the patients we see, she is attentive to the care they receive and she works to improve policies and procedures for the betterment of the patients, clients and the quality of veterinary medicine. Keshia is a positive influence to those around her and open to communication. Keshia is motivated by growth of her knowledge for the patients.

Cailen is very knowledgeable and patient. She does not call what she does work because she has always loved helping pets. Recently, she welcomed her second baby into the world and balances her career and personal life wonderfully. She is a happy inspiration!

Sherry is a caring and giving tech. When covid is not in full swing she runs the cupcake drive to raise money for the SPCA. She will bake up to 20 dozen cupcakes all herself. Also, she is amazing with dentals!

My boxer puppy, Stone, suffered from septic pneumonia earlier this year. When he first became very ill and I brought him into my ER, the Internal Medicine Team, including Kelly Curtis, came in on a Saturday to perform emergency life-saving diagnostics and measures to treat Stone and save his life. Kelly has remained his internal medicine technician since then for all of his continued care and follow-up needs, and has always gone above and beyond!

Darrion is VCA Riversides' unicorn! We all have one in our hospital and Darrion is ours. She came to us from Louisiana and we couldn't be happier that she chose VCA Riverside to call her home. Darrion shows up every single day with the same mission: save animals! Darrion goes above and beyond everyday, she is willing to stay late and work on her days off. Our clients and patients love her too. Darrion's contagious giggle gets us all through the stressful days.

Alexa is an amazing technician and an amazing LOD! She never fails to bring smiles, laughter, and kindness into the clinic each day. Her positive attitude and fun personality brighten our clinic! Words cannot express what an asset Jenna is to our hospital and our profession. Jenna provides unfaltering care to our patients, treating every pet as she would one of her own. Even when faced with whatever life has thrown at her, she is always here for our patients, never leaving her shifts without making sure that they are comfortable and communicating their needs to the incoming staff. Jenna has an innate ability to also connect with the owners of her patients and is frequently praised by them even when their pet did not have a positive outcome. It's a blessing to know that in the absence of an owner, she is there to comfort and love on the pet. Jenna is a true inspiration to every technician and assistant that crosses her path. Tammy is one of the most passionate technicians I've met thus far. On rough days, she's the first person to put a positive spin on it. Always enthusiastic about every appointment coming in, and eager to help in any and every way that she can.

Ashley is an amazing technician at our clinic. She is one of the longest standing employees as she has been working here since she was an assistant in school. She has a passsion for this field and animals that I have only seen a few times in my life. It is an honour to work beside her. She is also an extremely friendly! One of the warmest and happiest persons I have ever met. If anyone deserves to be recognized for what they do, it's her.

Rhi is one of the best vet techs I have met in my 10 years in veterinary medicine. She takes on cases and goes above and beyond what is asked of her. She has gone through so much in life and just recently in the last year going through multiple hurdles and still manages to be the best she can be and for her patients!

Kristen is the best tech for patient care and advocates for every patient as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond to make sure the animals are getting the care they deserve and that her coworkers are happy. She makes the work day fun and is a great sport. She is patient when teaching the new staff but also a ninja! She always steps up to help without being asked. I would trust her with any of my pets and always feel confident confiding in her and asking for help!

Maddie is not only a hard-working technician, she is compassionate, caring, giving, and an all-around good human.

In addition to her impressive skills she uses day-to-day, she adopted a dog with a bite history and has trained him to be the sweetest, most well-mannered boy. Julie truly is a remarkable person. She is so kindhearted and an excellent technician. She is wonderful with all animals and pet parents. Her communication skills with clients is phenomenal. She has been a technician for 7 years and loves to rescue the unwanted. Koral saved the day with her amazing restraint skills. We were taking x-rays on a dog that was being very compliant, when all of a sudden he had had enough and wanted to take a bite out of everyone. Koral didn't hesitate to step in and put her technician skills to the test! She saved our doctor's face as well as mine!

Nicole is known throughout our industry for her multiple volunteer missions, adopting/fostering animals and for making housecalls for cats' insulin injections. Nicole is one of the kindest people I know towards animals AND humans. She is compassionate, dedicated, smart, skilled, and an all-around incredible person and teacher. While extremely knowledgeable, she never acts superior--she only has a desire to help and teach. Her experience working in an emergency clinic and with exotics makes her an invaluable team member in every situation. She provides a home to many animals with special needs. We often say "oh, that looks like a McClelland!" when an animal is in need. As cliché as this sounds, I'm incredibly honoured to call Nicole a colleague, vet tech extraordinaire, and most of all a lifelong friend. In my 19 years in veterinary medicine I have never met anybody else that is as amazing as Nicole McClelland RVT, crazy dog/cat/rat/finch/parrot/rabbit/and guinea pig lady.

Jane started her CVT career in central Minnesota 40 years ago after graduating from one of the first accredited programs; she was in a group of some of the first technicians to ever take the VTNE. Throughout her career she has absorbed an incredible knowledge of animal health that she uses to give people and pets the best help possible. Jane has inspired and encouraged new members of veterinary medicine countless times with her incredible patience and unwavering dedication. We know we can always count on Jane to lend a helping hand to both patients and people alike, she truly makes the world a better place!

Carlos is such a kind soul, it truly shows in everything he does. His compassion and understanding of this industry is something we admire. We love working with Carlos and his patients just adore him. He's hard-working and deserves recognition on a daily basis, we're very lucky to have him.

Elisa is a unique combination of empathy, intelligence and compassion. As an oncology technician facing unprecedented pressure and demands from clients, she retains compassion as she orchestrates the advanced treatments we offer such as electrochemotherapy, adoptive T cell and Gene-electrotransfer.

There was never an elderly dog that came into the treatment room that Kelly didn't fawn over. Her empathy and compassion are second to none. She puts her whole being into the care of the animals here and is an amazing mentor and supporter of our new techs. She definitely oversees our lab and knows how to keep our equipment in tip top shape. I am honored to call Kelly my friend.

Britt is our newest tech grad. She is funny, witty, and smart. She started as an assistant and is now doing all the things she used to watch us techs do. Her patient care is great, and she knows so many on a personal basis. Watching her become a tech after knowing her as an assistant is a very cool transition. She is caring and a very quick learner.

Emily is an absolute rockstar! She is our go-to Technician, always a fountain of knowledge and support. She has taken numerous techs under her wing and has been so patient in her teachings. Our clinic could not run without Emily in it!

Lisa is a rockstar with our diabetic patients. As an Internal Medicine specialty, we have numerous diabetic patients that need to be managed. Many of them have glucose monitors, and Lisa has become the main contact person for all of them. She talks the owners through how to use and troubleshoot the monitor. She comforts and guides them when they're confused and follows their progress on our online portal. She alerts the doctors when a patient’s values aren’t what they should be and helps the owners through changes in insulin, doses, and diets. Lisa is endlessly patient with owners who aren’t always comfortable with new technology, but are eager to help their pets. This is only a small part of what she does as a veterinary technician and supervisor, and we are lucky to have her leading our team.

The empty chair. Everyone in this industry has experienced it. She sits down to eat lunch on her lunch break and as soon as she does a phone rings, someone comes inside to pick up a medication, a daytime emergency is on its way, a doctor needs her in surgery, so forth and so on. When these scenarios occur she is the first to vacate her chair, sandwich left untouched, and tends to the needs of every single person besides herself. She puts herself last and makes the hospital run smoothly. For all the "shes" in this world who make it happen and leave the chairs empty, thank you. Our "she" is Jessie, and without her we would not be a family, a team, a business. She is a selfless warrior with a can-do problem-solving attitude that makes you better just by being around her. She exudes quiet confidence, picks every person up, carries them, and tells them they can do it if they try. She is a true teacher and a testament to what this industry is about. Empathetic, caring, kind, and passionate. For the empty chair that she always leaves behind, we always have one waiting for her when she does get a brief break because she deserves everything! Thank you Jessie for your hard work, your heart, and your passion. You truly are an incredible person and we are very fortunate just to know you!

I haven't known anyone else to love animals the way Lesley does. She always advocates for the pet's best interest, whether that means educating a client or taking a pet into her own home! She has a long commute of over 2 hours, but is always on time and does her job very well. Recently, Lesley found a lost dog in her neighborhood and brought him in to be treated. We were able to vet the dog at no cost to the owner, who we later learned had financial constraints, and she advocated for his neuter surgery (again, at no cost). This simply wouldn't have happened had she been any other type of person. Lesley has endured a lot of heartbreak regarding her pets this year alone, and she totally deserves to be recognized for all of the good that she brings to us every day. We love you, Lesley!

Jessica is an outstanding RVT. She goes above and beyond for her patients, providing gold standard care. She is passionate and has so much compassion for animals. She is professional and extremely patient.

Suzanne is amazing! She has transitioned this year from normal tech duties to front end superstar where she consults with clients, provides all of our client education, is all knowledgeable about all things pet food related and has arranged countless lunch-and-learn sessions for our staff! She is always so accepting and an amazing mentor of new staff. She is making a huge difference in the lives of pets here in Medicine Hat!

Keep an eye on this one. Haley is going to do big things! She is currently our head assistant but is going to make an amazing tech. She has never met a task or big dog she couldn't handle. She loves pibbles and comforts land sharks. I am excited for the possibility that one day, when she returns from tech school, I will be able to mentor and teach her. She is an amazing assistant and will make an exemplary tech!

Andrea is an RVT at our hospital that possesses many talents: multitasking skills, an ability to professionally and compassionately relay information to clients, she is a super star exam room technician and advocate for our in-hospital patients. We are lucky she shares her time with us at the hospital while also taking care of a barn yard of lucky ducks, sheep, goats, cows and chickens at home. Not to mention her 2 senior dogs, one of which was adopted at the age of 13!

Just like peanut butter pairs with jelly, the words kind and charismatic fit together perfectly to describe our RVT Cherise! She has such a vibrant energy about her and you can’t help but feel happier in her presence! However, she can also switch gears at the drop of a dime and be soft spoken, calm and compassionate in the more sensitive appointments. Her patience is a gift that we have seen at work many times over. If a client is upset, she is always able to find a way to reason with and calm them, putting both them and their agitated pet at ease. It takes a very special person to become a successful a veterinary technician, and Cherise has got that title in the bag! She never shies away from a challenge and is always going the extra mile to explain treatment plans to clients or welcome them through our front door with a smile! We are so glad that Cherise found her way into our lives and into our clinic family!

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe what an amazing part of our veterinary family Tanya is. She is our “Head Tech”/leader of our tech team and is one of the most caring people on the planet. She always wears her heart, along with her dosimeter, on her scrubs! She is the seasoned go-to guru for new staff members, constantly helping to shape them and teach them to become the best tech that they can be. Watch out if you are a staff member having a birthday, because you are sure to be getting the most delicious homemade cupcakes you have ever tasted! In all the years we have known her, Tanya has never been known to turn away an “underdog” (or cat)! From Augey the special needs newborn Brittany Spaniel that required tube feedings all hours of the day and night, to Flash the cat who also would not have stood a chance without the extra love and care as a kitten (and is now a permanent fixture in her own home!) Tanya is truly one of the best, and we could not imagine our clinic being the same without her!

Callie just celebrated her 1-year anniversary with us as a new grad. She has developed into a very versatile vet tech! She is always up for a new procedure or technique, and always asks great questions when she needs guidance. She is nailing advanced procedures like epidurals and complicated anesthetic cases. She is also great at checking in with our newest techs and making sure they have the support they need.

Jayden has definitely transitioned to senior tech this year. I am so honored to see her progress from volunteer to full grown tech! She amazes me every day with her calm, confident energy and the way she tackles huge tasks with a "no big deal" vibe. She really is a shining star, and I am excited to see where she goes from here! The patients in Jayden's care are in the best hands. She is an amazing mentor to our new staff members, and I love watching her train methods.

JENSEN! She is a new grad tech, and she is amazing. I am blessed to be able to watch her turn into an amazing tech. The way she handles new tasks and learning with grace and patience is refreshing. She loves our patients, and you can often find her stealing a puppy or kitty for a few moments to take their picture! I am excited to see the tech she will become.

Danielle is truly my idol, my role model, my teacher and our clinic's everything. She gives 110% to every animal and always finds new ways to better our patient care. She truly is a gem and anyone who meets her immediately feels the impact of her giant caring heart. She is a treasure to the RVT world!

Hayley is our vet clinics protégé! She has had a love for animals her entire life and has worked for our clinic since she was a kennel attendant at the sprightly age of 15! Since then, she has bloomed into a fully accredited RVT and is one of the hardest workers our clinic has ever known! Hayley is always up to try new things or handle any species of animal that comes through our clinic’s doors, large or small. She has chased pigs, wrangled mini ponies, tackled goats, calmed kittens, cuddled puppies and is even very proficient in handling our bovine patients! Not only does Hayley “do it all”, she does it all with a smile day in and day out. She is just one of those people that never seems to have a bad day, and if she does, she certainly doesn’t let it show. We believe every clinic should have a Hayley, but unfortunately for the rest, we are not giving ours up any time soon!

When you see Nihkee, your first impression is that she is nothing but just a child. But do not let her petite image fool you, as she is a force to be reckoned with. Her friendly, enthusiastic, positive and strong-willed demeanor is what makes her approachable and likeable. She is a Locum RVT within the city of Toronto and is currently back in post-secondary studies to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Nihkee is always going above and beyond in her field, and it is evident that she loves what she does, as you can see the passion in her eyes. She cares for animals of all types and goes the extra mile in finding out 'What can I do to make this patient's visit more comfortable, and to ensure that the clients can gain my trust.' I feel as though she lives by this mantra (though she may not say it.) She is always around to lend a helping hand when needed and can ALWAYS hit that vein no matter what! Many veterinarians love working with her as she is very thorough and efficient. I can't think of a better advocate to be recognized than herself!

Jody is not only a RVT extraordinaire, but she is also a phenomenal person. Jody is a superhero within our hospital, with her many capes depending on the crisis at hand. Jody stays calm under pressure and jumps into any position needed, whether that is a critical care situation or assisting someone to their vehicle. Jody is not only special to us in the hospital, but her compassion and empathy for patients and owners often draws in compliments and gratitude for her dedication and professionalism. She is an integral part of our business, and we would not be where we are without her; she has helped make us a better hospital. She is the first one in and the last one out. Her work ethic is beyond reproach. She is a Rockstar and deserves to be recognized.

If you are feeling down and in need of a good laugh, you can always count on Kathryn to say something hilarious to boost you out of your funk! Whether it's offering you one of her “extra brain cells” or showing you a video of her adorable niece, you are bound to feel better just being in her presence! No matter how busy or tired she is, she will never turn you down if you ask for help. She is constantly taking on extra caseloads and has never once complained about coming in to assist for a 2AM C-section! We are truly honored to have her as a part of our team!

Penny has a soft spot for all critters, but no one captures her heart quite like the stray cats and kittens that are cared for at our clinic! Penny could spend her paycheck on herself, but more often than not, a good portion is spent buying toys and treats for the strays so they can feel even a fraction of the love that her own pets receive! Penny is not only fantastic with animals, but she is truly great for staff morale as well! She always has a funny story or meme to show and tell, and if you need a shoulder to cry on, she is 100% there for you anytime. We love you, Penny!

Jamie is one of our rockstar Lead RVT's and has been with our clinic for almost 3 years. She is a confident, strong leader and is always willing to step in and help where needed. You can find her at the front desk taking calls for reception or covering on-call shifts for other RVT's. Jamie often brings in her own dog, Jada, when we need a blood transfusion done, or for blood draw training for our newer technicians. She is calm under pressure and knows how to get stuff done; she deserves recognition for all her amazing hard work!

You’ve all heard of portable x-rays, but have you heard of a portable ray of sunshine? Well, we have one, and her name is Brittany! Her smile can light up a room and she never has a bad thing to say about anyone. She can easily find conversation with any client that walks through our door - and her smile must be contagious, because after a talk with Brittany, the clients always seem to leave with an ear-to-ear grin of their own! Brittany always has a positive outlook on life, and thinks of ways to help in every situation she is presented with. Many clients will actually ask for her by name to assist with their appointments because of previous positive experiences they have had in her care.

Tracey is a phenomenal tech! Shes a mom of 2 young kids and also trains all our newbies in dental. She is kind and always upholds and implements a progressive standard of care. I am blessed to work alongside her!

Brittany is an all-around awesome RVT! On top of her regular duties, she is in charge of coordinating with one of our local Animal Rescue Shelters where we perform weekly health checks and administer vaccines. She currently is in charge of organizing and booking their surgeries at our clinic as well. Brittany also does some of the best ink paw prints for pets that have crossed over the rainbow bridge. She is caring and compassionate and we thank her for all of her hard work!

I am blessed to know Colleen; she is the bright, shining light. I have often referred to her as my work wife and adore working in surgery with her. She always picks the best tunes and it's a total vibe all morning. Working with Colleen is seamless and effortless. Her patient care is second to none and listening to her interact with clients is amazing! She is patient and kind, and she really helps to put clients at ease before their pet's surgery.

Kaylea is a new grad and an amazing young tech. She is so funny and always makes me laugh. She LOVES wieners (dachshunds) of all varieties. I am honored to be given the opportunity to watch her grow and learn.

Amy has been with CanyonVet for over 5 years and has always been an pivotal team player. She treats every animal that comes into the clinic with love, compassion and empathy no matter the situation. Her drive to help any animal in need is consuming and benevolent. Amy has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is currently going through chemo but this has never defined her or her role as a tenacious team member with CanyonVet. We love and cherish Amy as our family and support her on this journey. We thank Amy for just being Amy, and encouraging all of us in our personal and professional lives.

Julie is an integral part of our success and her skills are unprecedented! Recently when checking thyroid labs, she noticed a "buldge" which turned out to be a splenic mass. The lucky pet had surgery the same week. She's our International Health Certificate specialist and her knowledge has ensured countless pets have been able to travel abroad with their families. Her everyday care for pets, their people, and her colleagues makes Julie one-of-a-kind!

Alison truly is a great person. She is eager to learn new things for client education and the health and well-being of the pets we see. She is smart and always makes room to grow and learn. She instills compassion and heart in all that she does. She is a great role model, and we are so lucky to have her.

Amanda is our resident dog-whisperer/behavior expert. Her motto with any dog is "don't blame me, train me" which she came up with when she was 12 years old. She gives her all every day as our head tech and assistant manager helping with staff training, ordering, and above all, TOP NOTCH patient care. She is an employee who treats every patient as if they were her own pet, and we are so lucky to have her on our team!

Brianne is an amazing Tech! She has been at the clinic for 15 years! She literally runs for the phone to help out. We joke about the saying "if you can lean, then you can clean," because she will not stop moving and will always find something to do. She's such a wonderful role model.

Alex has a big heart and is very compassionate about all of our patients. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help out. He definitely keeps us entertained with his great sense of humor.

Destiny is so compassionate towards her clients and patients! She takes the hard stuff with so much grace and humility. To know her is to love her! She has a loving and gentle touch, and she amazes the world each and every day!!

Julie is our Head LVT/Inventory Manager at our hospital. She is always so helpful, knowledgeable, and is a wonderful teacher. She is very level-headed and calm when it comes to dealing with patients that are very fearful. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her over the last 4 years and I, along with the rest of our staff, are very grateful for Julie.

Abby is the 'Jill' of all trades at our hospital. Not only is she a Licensed Veterinary Technician, but she is also our Practice Manager! Abby brings so much skill and knowledge to Kimball with her many years of management and emergency hospital experience. She always finds a way to do something better or develops better efficiencies for the hospital. Whether it's staying late to finish up a project or doing things from home, Abby is very dedicated to her work and bettering our hospital! She even taxied a patient over to an emergency hospital when the owners were out of town. That is her dedication, and she deserves all of the recognition for her hard work!

Alison is an extraordinary veterinary technician! I am shocked she has only been in the field a short 3 years. It is obvious she was made for the veterinary medical world because she truly is a natural! She embraced Fear Free practices before she became certified. She immediately defined and encompassed the role of our hospitals Fear Free Champion. Not only has her heart been a blessing to her patients but also to her fellow co-workers. She is often mistaken by many for being "the doctor" because she is so intelligent and passionate about growing her knowledge and sharing it with others. One day she will be an incredible Veterinarian! She sets the BEST example for our team and her love, care and calm disposition is truly contagious to all in her presence.

I’ve worked with Chelsea twice now. Even when she was younger, Chelsea was fully committed to every pet that came through our doors. We are now both at a new hospital that practices Fear Free each and every day. It’s wonderful to see how Chelsea has the same passion as she had in those first years of knowing her, only now with some additional maturity & life experience added. She is an animal advocate, always placing the animal first. She has grown and blossomed into one of the finest technicians I’ve had the honor to work with in the veterinary profession. She has a smile so wide, it’s contagious, a heart so big you can see it through her scrubs and compassion that cannot be denied.

Lyndsey truly is the definition of our hospital's core value: Care to Our Core. She goes above and beyond not only for her clients and patients, but for her teammates as well. She is the most patient person we know. Whether she is explaining discharge instructions to a client after surgery or training a technician with no prior experience, she always does a great job and never gets frustrated. She's always there to lend a helping hand no matter the circumstance, which is so refreshing in our constantly changing field. She helps keep a light- hearted atmosphere no matter the chaos of the day. We love having Lyndsey as a part of our team!

Krystina is truly an amazing technician - always going above and beyond for her patients and their families. She is a strong leader that demonstrates excellent mentorship and promotes growth in the staff that surround her. I am very fortunate to have had someone that is as supportive and compassionate as her to lean on, learn from and swap tech tricks with over the years.

Joana has been in the veterinary field for over two decades and managing ICUs for about half that time. She provides outstanding care and attention to every one of her patients. Each is given unconditional love and affection - even the grumpy ones! She is a joy to work with and an inspiration to the rest of our staff.

Fran is an amazing career technician! She continues to strive to learn and improve the experience of our patients on a daily basis. We are a mobile specialty team, and we move from clinic to clinic throughout the day. She consistently has a plan for each new patient we meet to help make them more comfortable and reduce fear, stress and anxiety. She uses multiple tools and tips to make each day run smoothly. She’s the best!

Angel is an outstanding, highly skilled LVT, who maintains a calm and professional demeanor amid the rapid and sometimes chaotic pace of a high volume spay/neuter clinic. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and helps to oversee our recovery volunteers. His compassion for animals matches his patience for people. You can tell Angel loves his job and we are thrilled to recognize him during Vet Tech Appreciation Week!

Robyn is the epitome of a team player. She is fully invested in the quality and compassionate care that we provide to every pet that walks through our door. She goes the extra mile for both clients and her team. Whenever she is asked to handle an extra task or role, she embraces the challenge with a smile. I am so grateful that she keeps choosing us.

Max just started early this year with CAH and is doing a fantastic job! She is an RVT and has previously worked with exotics! We appreciate her every day.

Molly is one of those people who was just meant to be a vet tech! She is patient, attentive, compassionate and kind. She treats each and every patient as though they were her own and ensures that they get extra snuggles before going home. She's smart, driven, takes initiative and is a pillar in the clinic! We are so lucky to have her, and I am so grateful to get to work with such an amazing Technician!

I have never met a veterinary technician who was more caring and compassionate than Danielle. As a veterinarian, I rely heavily on amazing technicians like Danielle to not only keep me safe but to make my patients comfortable and happy. She regularly advocates for patient comfort and will search all over the clinic for the perfect bed, the pet's favorite treat, or anything else that patient needs to have the best possible visit. Danielle is the person we turn to for scared cats, painful Rottweilers, and terrified chihuahuas. She has a way of making friends with even the most fearful of animals and is able to ensure they receive the best possible care while protecting their overall well-being. Danielle also teaches the students in our clinic the importance of fear free/low stress handling techniques and helps them to recognize stopping points during appointments.

Laura is our lead technician who not only takes care of her family at home, but also the family she has at our hospital. She is an amazing leader and a compassionate technician. She is a wonderful mentor to her team as well.

Steph is hands down the most attentive and intuitive vet tech I’ve ever met. She understands our pets on a deeper level than most and can tell when something isn’t right before any labs, bloodwork or scans are taken. You can tell right away that she is the voice for our animals, and her passion lies with facilitating healing and compassionate care for our furry family members. She deserves so much recognition because I’m sure she has helped MANY families and saved so many lives!

Sarah has the greatest personality and cares so deeply about my dogs. She communicates and answers any question I have about their health and how to help them stay out of trouble from porcupines, ticks, digging, eating random things and general hygiene. She truly cares and it’s not just a job to her.

Nathan helped my dog Kidd regain a good quality of life with weekly laser therapy treatments. He was patient and kind (even when Kidd was acting goofy) and always checked on how she was doing. It made the last hard months so much more bearable because of his kindness.

Mia is an absolute dream, and truly the most wonderful tech to work with. Her devotion to her patients shines through everything she does, and it is abundantly clear that she loves this job even on the hard days. She is the ultimate team player, often shouldering more of the workload than one person should bear, and she works tirelessly to keep the hospital operating at a high standard of care. Mia’s confidence in her knowledge and her soothing voice are so important for clients; you can tell they really listen to what she is saying, and they appreciate someone who will always take the time to explain things in a clear and concise manner. She is not told enough how wonderful, dependable, and irreplaceable she is.

Katie is one of our outstanding surgical technicians who has a passion for mentoring the next generation of veterinary technicians. She developed our externship program and works closely with local tech schools to provide training and mentorship for those assigned to our hospital. We've hired most of those that have come through the program and the graduates of the program have excelled at passing the VTNE boards. Some of the graduates are emerging already as leaders, teachers and lecturers at our hospital.

We met Emily 9 years ago and our two dogs quickly became attached to her. Over the years, she has become known as Aunt Emily; she loves my dogs as if they were her own and is one of the very few people I fully trust to care for them. When we got a devastating cancer diagnosis last year for Kira, our 12-year-old golden, Emily was crying alongside. Aside from everything she has done for us personally, Emily helps dogs (and all animals) in every way she can. She volunteers at Vintage Pet Rescue, providing medical services to senior dogs, and advocates for animals with disabilities. Her dog Mel, a tripod Chihuahua mix, was found in the south partially paralyzed. Due to Emily’s rehabilitation and veterinary background, she is able to provide the most incredible life for Mel, who is always sassy and stylish in her hot pink wheelchair and endless wardrobe of sweaters. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such an incredible person and vet tech in our life. We are honored to call Emily our vet tech and friend.

Terrilee has been a vet tech for over 20 years. She has been with Celtic Creatures Veterinarian Clinic since 2008 when they first opened their doors. She is a very organized, dedicated, hardworking technician who enjoys a personal connection with patients and owners. Terrilee takes pride in what she does; she is very professional with patients and owners but can always make you laugh when you need it the most. She is the first person you call when your furry friend needs her help. She is a very knowledgeable resource for her family & friends when it comes to their furry family members. Cape Breton is lucky to have a technician like Terrilee.

Amy is an outstanding example of dedication to improving pets and their families lives through Fear Free service, and basic obedience classes without coercion or corrective training. Amy continues her education whenever possible so that she can better the lives of those she serves. I have known her to selflessly provide CVT service free of charge on occasion just to improve the pet's quality of life. Amy is nothing short of AMYazing!

Katie is one of our amazing LVTs here at ELVC. She has been battling some health issues lately and has not been able to be here that often. She has been having a rough time with not being able to work but we are so lucky to have her on our team. Even when she is sick, she tries to come to work and put in 100%. We couldn't do it without her here.

Heather is absolutely amazing. She truly loves the animals. She is kind, compassionate and goes above and beyond.

My dog is a hot mess, sometimes called a unicorn. Adrienne called him “her lemon.” I first met her crying outside Lenity and she brought me a drink and gave me a much-needed hug. Adrienne has been through thick and thin with my lemon and has always been there to give him love, encouragement and care. My dog is doing much better now after a complicated knee surgery, but she still comes to visit him at physical therapy next door to give him love. She is a true gem and the lemon and I appreciate her very much.
